James Gondwe and Paul Mwale, our Centre for Youth and Development (CYD) partners in Malawi, presented at the Malawi Scotland Partnership Forum in Mzuzu on 22nd June. This was the first presentation of the joint Turing Trust/CYD project “Improving ICT Skills in Malawi” to representatives from schools hoping to benefit from the project and attracted an overwhelming number of positive responses.

The schools were grateful to the Scottish government for the grant funding that has made this project possible. They could see that the installation of over 4000 PCs in Malawian classrooms would transform the lives of many students in Malawian schools and their communities, allowing access to independent learning software and e-libraries and lifelong learning.
