Since we started, our volunteers have been at the heart of what we do. Volunteering with the Turing Trust is an opportunity to try something new, learn new skills, and meet new people. Our volunteers come from a wide range of backgrounds and all have different skill sets. Collectively, the incredible contributions of all our volunteers is what enables us to create new opportunities for IT-supported learning in schools.
I really enjoyed my time at the Turing Trust where I gained teamwork and mentoring skills, learning from hardworking and friendly people. This proved very useful in helping me to later secure a job as a software engineer at SeeByte Ltd.Â

Volunteering in the UK
We have lots of ways to get involved in the UK. You could help us load a container on a shipping day, gain new skills learning how to wipe and refurbish a PC or help us to develop our offline resources aligned to the curriculum in Malawi.
We also regularly run volunteering days with teams from local companies and organisations.Â

Recently volunteers from a local company, FreeAgent, did an amazing job testing and packing 350 monitors ready for Malawi in just 1 day. You can read more about their experience here.
Volunteering with us is a great way to meet new people, learn some new skills while building your CV, and have fun knowing you’re making a difference!
