We recently donated six laptops to Zorudena Uganda to support their ICT for Young Mothers project. The donated laptops will allow young mothers to engage in learning and networking activities at their own pace, providing access to the tools, skills and support they need to thrive in today’s digital world.
Some examples of the ICT initiatives run by Zorudena include:
- Digital literacy workshops equip young mothers with basic digital skills and provide access to new tools to support their personal and professional development.
- Zorudena’s Online Learning Hub offers access to a curated selection of educational resources on topics relevant to young mothers, including courses, tutorials, webinars and e-books.
- Virtual support groups allow young mothers to connect and share experiences. They can also seek advice and receive support from professionals and peers via regular online meetings.
- Zorudena’s Mentorship Programme pairs young mothers with experienced mentors who can provide guidance, advice and support as they navigate various challenges and opportunities.
This project is a lifeline for young mothers in Uganda who are struggling to balance the responsibilities of childcare, education and employment. With the help of your donations, these women now have an opportunity to gain valuable skills and knowledge to enhance both their personal and professional lives.
