We’re thrilled to share that Kyle, one of our community programme participants, has secured a place at college studying computing.
Kyle was first introduced to our charity through Midlothian Council’s Communities Lifelong Learning and Employability team after expressing an interest in computing.
When he began working with us, Kyle was very anxious about working with people. Since then, he’s become a key part of our team, building strong relationships with our staff and other participants.
It’s been fantastic to witness Kyle’s progress. He’s proven to be a real asset to the team, helping with everything from IT restoration and wiping to completing Data Destruction Certificates for donors.

Caroline, Kyle’s support worker from Midlothian Council, later said: “Thank you for all your help with Kyle. When I first met him he wanted a night shift position so he did not have to speak to anyone. He has progressed massively while attending The Turing Trust.”
Kyle has since finished his first year at college doing a Digital Media course, and he is now in his second year doing Web Design. “He is having a great time studying what he loves doing.”
We’re so proud of all the progress you’ve made Kyle, best of luck with everything.
