Uman Tok are a grassroots Sierra Leonean organisation providing reproductive health awareness, education and sustainable feminine health kits to women & girls across the country.
During the last year they have grown to be the biggest local reusable menstrual hygiene pad producer and with their growth, the computers they already had were no longer sufficient.
Were delighted to have been able to provide Uman Tok with more laptops to support their expanding operations and allow them to continue their life-changing work helping women and girls. Here are Augustine and Mariatu using one of the laptops for essential tasks like social media posts, emails, reports, procurement and logistics.
Uman Tok are so thankful and appreciate the support with computers from The Turing Trust. This helps us continue to help the women and girls of Sierra Leone.
They need them primarily to have zoom calls with partners and upkeep their databases. They are able to create reports for possible donors or create content for partners in time, due to no longer sharing the Executive Directors computer! The team at Uman Tok are immensely grateful.

Sophie Heigel, Managing Director at our partner organisation Aid Pioneers, shares how these laptops are making a real difference:
During the last year they have grown to be the biggest local reusable menstrual hygiene pad producer and with their growth, the computers they already had were no longer sufficient.
Wed like to say a huge thank you to all our donors who have made it possible for us to support fantastic organisations like Uman Tok. Your generous donations of old laptops, tablets and computers allow us to facilitate digital access and learning for those who need it most.
