Donating computer for new lab in Kenya

Bringing New Hope to the Kibera Slum

We’ve been working with our partner, Habitat for Humanity Kenya, to support the development of a computer lab in New Hope School, located in the heart of the Kibera slum – one of the largest slums in the world.

New Hope currently supports 700 students and has proven to be a transformative force since its inception in 2004, ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their background.

Now equipped with 20 computers from the Turing Trust, the school is bringing new hope to the community, helping to bridge the digital divide and improve computer literacy rates.

Festus Muendo, Headteacher at New Hope Academy, adds: “The success stories coming from New Hope School highlight the profound impact that dedicated educators and a supportive community can have in transforming lives.”

Over the coming years, these devices will support thousands of students, ensuring they have access to the tools and resources needed to explore new opportunities and build a brighter future for themselves.
