Our team at Newbridge, Edinburgh were delighted to receive such a great donation from Oxford Saïd Business School. They donated 192 items in total, including laptops, desktops, iPhones and monitors. Our thanks to Simon Eggleton, IT Service Desk and Continual Service Improvement Manager at Saïd Business School for organising this and for the work that went into packing the kit for safe transport to Edinburgh.
Our team in Edinburgh will be busy refurbishing the machines and loading them with educational resources that will help thousands of students in Malawi acquire digital skills. At present only 3% of schools in Malawi have computers – so there is still a long way to go to bridge the digital divide and ensure that all can benefit from the digital age.
This project of computers will make our future to be bright as we are able to learn more things now with these computers

Reusing computers also has significant environmental benefits – this donation will save 48 tonnes of CO2 emissions or the equiavalent of planting 119 trees.
