A New Computer Lab at Afoako ICCES

2015 closed and the new year dawned for The Turing Trust in an incredible way. A brand new IT lab was unveiled in Ghana and we announced our new CSR scheme.

One of our first ever partner schools needed an IT lab. They were operating without a dedicated lab and this was holding students back. We were determined to change this and so The Turing Trust helped sponsor and commission a dedicated building for students to learn in.

The lab was opened by local chiefs, and the community and students now have access to IT and eLearning resources. This will make their learning experience more enjoyable and will help provide teachers with better resources. We’re proud to have supported the project and know it will be a place where students and adults alike continue to learn.

Things have been exciting back home too, as we recently unveiled our new CSR scheme. This has been designed to make it easier for businesses to get involved in the work we do and grow more responsible workers at home. There are so many ways that businesses can get involved, and infinite possibilities for you to become part of our team. 2016 is going to be an exciting year for The Turing Trust, and we hope to have you along with us to enjoy it.

Make sure to sign up for our mailing list too, so that we can keep you up to date on what’s happening, and sign up to our facebook and twitter feeds to get social with us.
