Sending laptops to South Sudan

The Turing Trust have been pleased to support the Ibba Girls School in South Sudan with 25 laptops. Ibba Girls School was set up in 2014 by a group of local leaders in South Sudan including Bridget Nagomoro (former County Commissioner for West Equatoria State).

Now the school has over 200 girls studying and living there. The school welcomes girls of all faiths and none, and girls from all backgrounds, regardless of income.

We share their aspiration that providing greater opportunities for IT skills will empower graduates to enter leadership roles in community, business and government. IT skills will also encourage girls to actively participate in local governance and and so pave the way for further education, work and nation-building in South Sudan.
