As a not-for-profit organisation, we rely heavily on volunteers to carry out our work. From wiping and refurbishing devices to packing shipments, they support everything we do – and we’re so grateful.
To recognise their efforts and give back to those who invest so much time in our charity, back in March, we began hosting our very own volunteer workshops.
Each session is designed to equip our volunteers with essential skills to support them within our warehouse and beyond. With every workshop hosted by a different member of our team, they’ve also presented opportunities to build new relationships and encourage collaboration across the organisation.
“It was great to hear how much our volunteers enjoyed the warehouse workshop. Many mentioned that it was a fun change from their usual routine at the Turing Trust. They really valued the hands-on experience, and are already keen to sign up for the next session!”
So far this year, we’ve hosted four workshops – and they’ve proven to be a big success. From repairs and data destruction to international projects, our volunteers have had lots of opportunities to get hands-on experience across a range of areas.
